Accessibility statement
Effective November 8, 2026
Malama Care LLC wants everyone to be able to use telehealthwellnesshawaii.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or reduced motion. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How this site is built
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link at the top.
- Headings, landmarks, lists and tables use real HTML elements so screen readers can navigate them.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and interactive controls meet the AA contrast ratios, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
- Animation respects your system's "reduce motion" setting: with it on, content appears without movement.
- Forms label every field, report errors in text, and never rely on colour alone.
- Tap targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
Testing
Every page is checked with automated accessibility testing (axe-core) on desktop and mobile layouts before it is published, and reviewed by hand with keyboard navigation and a screen reader. We recheck after every significant change.
Known limits
- Payment pages are hosted by Stripe. We chose Stripe partly for its accessibility work, but we cannot change those pages ourselves.
- Some articles include data tables that scroll sideways on small screens; each is in a labelled, keyboard-focusable region.
